Hey ladies,
So I am really sorry that I have not written in a while but I have some good news. I am coming home next week and will be in Kansas until around Christmas! I am soo excited! My mom is flying up here this weekend and then we are driving back. We are doing a fun road trip. I think we decided to make some deturs and stop in Memphis to do the whole Graceland thing and then we are going to stop and visit my aunt and uncle in Oklahoma so we should be pulling in to Topeka either Wednesday or Thursday.
If you havent already got the email from Fox, we are planning a girls slumber party at my parents house on November 7th and then I will also be in Lawrence for Brandon's birthday on the 8th (that is if I can find a babysitter). But I would love to see you all before that if we can.
I am glad to here that everyone's school year is going well, at least for the most part. I look forward to seeing you all!

slacking
okay ladies we are all slacking on this blog! i know i have no room to talk but i do try and at least read everything and lately there has been nothing. i haven't been up to much lately until today. today i just ran my 1/2 marathon my friend and i finished in 2 hours and 33 minutes. it was faster than our goal by 4 minutes but as you all know i am super competitive and so of course i want to try again and go faster. i do have a blister that is as big as a 50 cent piece...gross i know!
it finally rained this weekend... that hasn't happened here since march! the rain is not the same. first of all people here don't know how to drive in it and its never a thunderstorm which i miss a lot! i also miss the smells of fall and the crisp air of fall. it cools off here but its not the same.
there is not a lot new in the romance department but i think i'm okay with that i do have a crush and a stalker but thats about it. oh and don't worry my stalker is not dangerous just annoying! as for work i love my kids this year if i could just work with kiddos that are 3 to 6 i would be in heaven but kids up to 12 are okay as well. i don't know if i have already said this but i just got assigned to my first birth to three kiddo. she is 2 1/2 and adorable. i am super nervous because i've never done this before but it could be fun.
i will definitely be home in november so once again mark it off on the calendar. its kind of crazy that brandon will be 21! i feel so old! oh wait thats because i'll be 26 the same week, yikes!
i want to hear more from all of you!! oh and sara rose are you okay were you in the car that is pictured all smashed up on facebook? hopefully everyone is okay!
love you ladies!!!

Feenished!
Whew-ee. Here it is Saturday night and I guarantee no one is blogging or will be reading this blog tonight. I'm sipping on my Chardonnay- it's pretty delicious. I have spent (and I am not exaggerating THIS time) since about 11am this morning working on my grad classes. I ate lunch and went to church during the course of the 9 hours, otherwise, I was reading and typing. I took a class this summer and it ends October 1. So I put it off and spent the last week trying to get the BS done. And I think I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I can not tell you how excited I will be to graduate in May. What does it feel like to NOT do homework? Foxtrot, I commend you on getting your masters right away. Nice job! I can not WAIT to get that million on my paycheck too! ha!
So enough of the boring stuff. Things have been going well for me. Finally at work I feel like I am able to do my job (or jobs). I have passed the buck onto other people at work to help with our little kindergartner. I am still assisting but I am trying to stay out of it some. She is not special education therefore we have other people that can help. It's the whole "I don't have to be in control" sort of thing. I will gladly let someone else work with her too. She's making some progress but she's still a loose cannon and it's like she's been caged up! Insane!
I just went to Hannah's first birthday at Ryan and Corey's. It was a "bee" theme - they call her Hannah Bee. She is just a doll! She had her first sweet a cupcake and she didn't know what to do with it! I put some frosting on my finger and she looked at me like I was crazy trying to make her eat it! Then she just went to town! I love it! It makes me want to have my own, SOMEDAY :).
Foxtrot, I am so glad you have a good class this year, it's amazing how kids can determine your day or year. I think that's the "joy" of teaching, each and every day is new and exciting along with each year. Yet, sometimes, that year can seem pretty damn long....
So Megan, how many hours does it take to get to Carolina? Do I hear a road trip??? Seriously, that'd be fun. Like over Christmas break or something. Either Spring Break.
Eric and I are doing well. Nothing new to report. He is away in the mountains having "man time" with his dad and uncle. I'm actually able to get a lot of stuff done while he's away, but I already miss him! PATHETIC!
Alright, ladies, I'm going to pass the buck to someone else, WHITEY or AUBREY! :)
Happy rest of the weekend! Love you all!

Oh the Joys of Teaching...
Hello all! Sorry I have been MIA for awhile once again. Megan, I am so happy for you that you found a home! That is very exciting. Hopefully sometime in 2009 I can come to visit. I hope you do get to come to the Topeka area so I can see you soon! Gracie-Poo, I am so sorry to hear about your classroom struggles... it reminds me of some of mine last year. Hang in there girl! But seriously, the kindergartener called you that? Wow. White Stuff, I hope you are having a good year. I will be in Lawrence, along with Aubs, the weekend of November 8 so hopefully I can see you! We will be in town celebrating Brandon's 21st birthday. I seriously cannot believe he is that old. It will be nice to go back to my old stomping grounds since I haven't been in awhile. I'm still trying to convince Nick to come along, but it will be hunting season so we shall see. He's one of those stubborn K-State fans too, so I'm not so sure how excited he is about entering Jayhawk country.
Things are going well for me right now. I love my class this year, so work is much better than last year. Funny how your class can make or break your year! I have the funniest story that happened last week... All of my students were working on their math assignment at their desks. I was monitoring the room to make sure everyone was working. Some of my kids stand at their desks when they work and Austin was one of them who was standing up. Well, all of a sudden, his pants fell down. I started laughing hysterically and could not quit. The moment he realized his pants had fallen down, he said outloud, "my pants fell down!!" and threw his arms up in the air. He then picked up his trousers and came running over to me. The mental picture I have still makes me laugh! He came up to me and said, "Miss Fox, my pants fell down!" And I replied, "I saw that, Austin" while trying my darndest to cover up my laughter. Then he asked if he could go to the bathroom. I am still trying to contain my laughter, though with little success. A few of the other students saw what happened, but then the others who didn't see were trying to figure out what all the commotion was about. I told the class they needed to get back to work and not worry about what happened. Then all of a sudden one of my students said really loud, "they really fell down?" Obviously, the news of the event spread quickly. Austin finally comes back and when he enters the room he yells out, "I got 'em fixed!" And of course, the room erupts with laughter. It's a good thing that Austin is a sort of goof ball and this didn't bother him at all. If it had been a girl who was embarassed, I would have felt bad about laughing. So, it made for a funny story and I finally got my class under control and back to work. I swear, some things only happen in teaching.
I hope everyone is doing great right now! Remember, we should work to live, not live to work! Enjoy your spare time and don't let work get you down. Should I be an inspirational speaker? :) Talk to you all soon!

We found a home!
Hey girls,
So we are finally done with the moving process. I still need to find a job though. We did the 12 hour drive in different cars and I never want to really have to drive that far just me and Kiers in the car. It was tough, we drove through tropical strom Fay to get here and she was really good and slept for the 4 hours we were driving in a down poor but after that she got kinda fussy. Good thing my aunt burned me a CD with Alyson Krauss singing Baby of Mine becuase it was the only thing that could calm her. I tried every other CD I had in the car but some how it did the trick. So, I listened to at least 8 hours of that song on repeat. Then we got here, stayed in an awesome hotel and found a house. It is really nice. It is only 2 years old. It is a 3 bed 2 bath house with a bonus room. It also has a screened in deck and a 2 car garage. I love being in a house and out of an apt. There is not much to do in the town of New Bern but if anyone wants to come visit we are about 30 miles from the beach and we have plenty of room for you to stay, so we would love to have you.
Anyways, that is what is new with us. How is school going for all of you guys? I hope your years will be really good! Aubrey, as soon as I find a job I am going to start looking for a time to come visit you! Foxy, Grace, and White I hope to see you guys a lot in October. I dont know for sure if I am coming but it looks like I am.
I miss you all a ton!

Anyone out there?
Girls.....
What happened to our weekly blogs? I know things have been SUPER hectic, but we must not forget about our friendship!!! :) I should be doing school work right now, but I need a minute of sanity. Things have been INSANE at work. I'm dealing with a little kindergartner that is NOT special education surprisingly who is acting out HORRIBLY. Notice my capital letters. Anyway, needless to say, I got called a "stupid bitch" today, Yea for her using words in the right context. Ha!!
Foxtrot, how is your school year going? Going to have a better class this year? Our school didn't make AYP therefore we are in FULL swing to try to get our kiddos reading, writing, and mathing!! If that's a word.
I can't wait to hear about Megan's new digs once she gets a place....
Nothing else new here. Eric and I are doing well. He's been traveling quite a bit some I'm actually get some work done. Ha! Nah, but it's been different with him being gone quite a bit. I'm having to make up corny games to keep our "passion" alive. :)
Tell me what's new with you all! ASAP!!! :)

The Big Move
Hey girls!
Sorry it has been a while for me too. We were in Topeka for a week. Grace and White it was really nice to see you guys and I will definitly send you those picks cause they are awesome (the lesbian family, just kidding). Grace, Abe and I both really like Eric. He seems really awesome, so way to go!! Foxy, sorry again that we didnt make it to Wichita but I promise if I am home for a couple of months I am definitly heading that way. Aubs, it sucked missing you by a couple of days so hopefully that wont happen again. I know we are trying to go to Minnesota for Thanksgiving so hopefully that is not the trip you are talking about in November.
So, it is 1:00 in the morning and the movers are coming tomorrow (or I guess today). They are packing all of our stuff up and then will come and load it onto the truck on Thursday, Abe will check out at the base on Friday and we will hit the road for our new home in North Carolina. Well, we will hit the road for a hotel room in NC. We are waiting tell we get there to find a house to rent. Its kinda scarry not knowing where we will live but hey life is an adventure. I am also really happing because it looks like Fay is going to stay east of us. This last weekend they were saying it was going to hit Pensacola on thursday so we are very releaved that things have changed.
Anyways, it may be a while before I blog again. The movers are taking our computer and we dont know when we will actually get our stuff (we have to have a home first).
To all of you starting school, well I guess that is all of you, good luck. I know your school years will be great!!!
Oh yeah, Foxy I wanted to tell you on the phone but we keep missing each other. Thank you sooooo much for the shirts. They are the cutest things ever. Abe was really excited that she can now represent his beliefs!
Love you all!
